Troy Ely is the Project Manager for Viking Construction. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and is married to Dr. Sheryl Ely. Together they are the proud parents of two children: Jessica Marie and Travis Kenneth.

Troy is a State Certified Contractor who received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. After college, Troy was employed as a Superintendent by Davis and Sons Construction building several multifamily projects. He then went on to own and operate Ely Builders, where he specialized in building and remodeling custom homes. After seven years with Ely Builder’s Troy rejoined the Davis and Son’s team as a project manager where he continued to gain experience in the multifamily construction industry. In 2004, Troy partnered with Svein to help manage Viking Construction.

Troy volunteers for the City of Gainesville Recreational Department where he has been involved in coaching his children’s fast pitch softball & baseball teams. Troy also enjoys salt water fishing, scalloping, and other outdoor activities.
